In mid 1991, Brownie realised there was a need for a directory of the beaconed waterways in South East Queensland, which was more user friendly in small or fly bridge power boats than the bigger government charts, which were big and unwieldy in the wind. He contacted an ex government cartographer mate, George Daniels and Brownie’s Beacon to Beacon Directory was born. This story from June 1996 gives you an insight into producing it.
