Margate Whiting
05:56
This story from the Coastwatch Vault with Aaron Fogarty, is for people who don’t have a boat and want to find places to do some relaxing land based fishing and at the same time catch good fish. Aaron settled back on Margate Beach on Redcliffe Peninsula with 2 x 3wrap 126″ rods with Alvey Reels, 2 x beach rod holders, some worms, a fold up chair and a book. The fish came on the chew and he didn’t get much reading done, but did take home a good feed of whiting and bream. It’s all about identifying the right structure and using the right technique and as you’ll see, even a pelican liked what he was doing.
