Gold & Sunshine Coast Report issued at 5.45am Monday 24th June 2024
Weather Forecast: Mostly sunny with some cloud at times and a slight chance of showers. The top temperature should be 21-22°
Wind Forecast: 5-10kts SW/S this morning, becoming S/SE during the day
Swell: 0.5m SE/E
Tides: Mooloolaba: High @ 9.27am … Low @ 3.16pm
Snapper Rocks: High @ 9.23am … Low @ 3.03pm
Best waves: Another day of small swell and there’s not much happening for surfers, apart from little longboard sliders on the points either side of low tide, or beach breaks on the open beaches.
For some surfing history, check the daily videos from the Coastwatch Vault at the bottom of this page
Best Beaches: The best beaches in the forecast light SW/SE winds, will be the bays at Noosa, Mooloolaba, Burleigh, Kirra, Greenmount and Rainbow Bay. The water temperature is 18-19° and although the swell is small, swim in the patrolled areas marked by the red and yellow flags, as there’s inshore holes and gutters along the open stretches of beach and any rips and sweep working around them, will be enhanced as the water drains off the beach on the late morning and afternoon ebb tide
