Coastwatch Product of the Week – This week we have, Sterling Black Panther Industrial Shears.
Now, you and I love our tools for the boat. These sorts of things are just invaluable. So they’re stainless steel, that’s a big tick. Straight out of the box, they’re going to be perfect for all the salt water use that we’re sort of getting into.
They’ve got a serrated edge, so you know you can cut braid with them. My main use for these, I actually use these myself. I love these for gilling fish when you’re bleeding snapper, mackerel, that sort of thing. It’s very, very quick and clean.
They are leathally sharp, so it goes without saying to use them with caution.
A little bit of spironum goes a long way as well.
These shears, I reckon every angler needs these in their boat. You game fishermen and those guys that are cutting really heavy mono, I think, you know, these are brilliant for that. You can cut really sheer and you can cut at different angles.
