Byron Coast

Sunshine Coast

Hervey Bay / Fraser Island Coast

Tides & Moon: Morning low tides around 6am, and afternoon high tides around 12.30pm. For further information, click here.

BEACH

The Gold and Sunshine Coast should be great for a swim this weekend with current water temp at 24 degrees and mostly safe conditions before the afternoon sea breeze gets up. The best spots will be the northern beaches of the Gold Coast north of Miami to the Spit. On the Sunshine Coast, try Coolum to Sunshine beach.

SURFING

For the Surfers, the swell is predicted to be small and mostly out of the Southeast for Friday and Saturday before a slight pulse late Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. The best waves should be early Saturday and Sunday before the north wind gets too strong. Try the open beach breaks north of Broadbeach on the Gold Coast and Coolum Beach on the Sunshine Coast.

BOATING & FISHING

The offshore fishing should be ok if you get out early on Saturday and Sunday before the wind. The Spotty mackerel are back in numbers so try floating live bait or a pilchard for some fun on the inshore reefs.

Don’t forget to check out the comprehensive COASTWATCH FISHING REPORT on the website covering Hervey Bay to Yamba.

Weather wise, its looking the best we have had in weeks. Enjoy!!!
