Hervey Bay / Fraser Island Coast
Tides & Moon: Morning high tides around 7.15am, and afternoon low tides around 1.45pm. for further information, click here.
BEACH
The Gold and Sunshine Coast should be great for a swim this weekend with current water temp at 21 degrees and very small waves predicted. The best spots will be any of the open beaches of the Gold or Sunshine Coast during the incoming tides.
SURFING
For the Surfers, the swell is predicted to be very small and variable, with a period of about 6 seconds, which will see waves on the beach no bigger than 1-2ft. Leave the surfboard in the rack and wax up the long board or “foamie” for some fun.
BOATING & FISHING
With the small waves and light winds, the offshore fishing should be excellent this weekend, so fuel up the boat and do a thorough prep to get ready to launch. Each morning is showing light winds early and the high tide should make for safe bar crossings up and down the coast. Always exercise caution mindful of the capabilities of your vessel.
The Mahi Mahi have been going crazy around the FADS, with silver spinners working well and slow retrieving pilchards also getting the job done.

Have a great weekend!
