Halco Pliers
Coastwatch product of the week, we’re looking at Halco’s split ring pliers.
Now, these ones, they’re deceiving ’cause they’re actually quite a quaint little set of pliers. Traditionally, you’ve got like a Kroesbeek hook on most of your split ring pliers. And that necessitates three different sizes of pliers for your small, your medium, and your extra heavy split rings to make them work properly. These ones have been completely redesigned with these very interesting little tips that they’ve got in there. The take home message is these will do everything from trout lures right up to GT popping lures.
They’re a very deceiving little pair of pliers. They’ve got a really good construction. It’s a machine-grade tool steel, very, very hard, long wearing. They are probably the best split ring pliers that I’ve used. One pair of pliers to do the whole job instead of carrying three around all the time. The Halco brand are a quality product, that goes without saying. This is definitely one for your kit.
