Gold & Sunshine Coast Report issued at 5.55am Sunday 2nd June 2024
Weather Forecast: The BOM is forecasting a mostly sunny day, with a top temperature of 22-23°
Wind Forecast: 5-10kts NW/SW early, forecast to freshen to 10-15kts this morning
Swell: 0.75-1m E/NE
Tides: High @ 4.15am & 5pm … Low @ 10.45am
Best waves: With the forecast NW/SW winds, the cleanest waves will be on the beach breaks on the open beaches. The points will be worth a look this morning while the winds are light
Best Beaches: A mostly sunny day is expected, so it looks like a pretty good day for the beach although it is winter and will be a bit chilly. In NW/SW winds the open stretches of beach are good and finding a spot where’s there’s less wind is best. There’s inshore holes and gutters along those open stretches of beach and any rips and sweep working around those features, will be enhanced as the water drains off the beach on the morning ebb tide, so swim in the patrolled areas marked by the red and yellow flags
