Gold & Sunshine Coast Report issued at 5.55am Friday 7th June 2024
Weather Forecast: Sunny, with a top temperature of 21°
Wind Forecast: Light W/SW early, freshening a little during the day
Swell: 0.5m E/SE
Tides: Mooloolaba: High @ 8.16am … Low @ 2.12pm
Snapper Rocks: High @ 8.36am … Low @ 2.12pm
Best waves: The swell is really small and there’s not much doing. You could look for little beach breaks on the open beaches
Best Beaches: A cool, sunny day is expected. The forecast air temperature is 21° and water temperature is about 22°. Despite the W/SW winds being light, there will be some wind chill factor, so finding a spot up against the dunes where there’s some shelter from the westerly winds, would be ideal. There’s inshore holes and gutters along the open stretches of beach and any rips and sweep working around them, will be enhanced as the water drains off the beach on the mid morning to mid afternoon ebb tide, so despite the small swell, swim in the patrolled areas marked by the red and yellow flags
