Weather Forecast: Mostly sunny, with cloud increasing late this afternoon and a top temperature of 21-22°

Wind Forecast: 5-10kts W/SW this morning, becoming light and variable this afternoon

Swell: 1m SE on the northern ends of the Gold and Sunshine Coasts and along the Tweed Coast. Smaller and more SE/E as it wraps into the bays on the north side of headlands

Tides: Mooloolaba: Low @ 8.21am … High @ 2.37pm

Snapper Rocks: Low @ 8.10am … High @ 2.35pm

Best waves: Look for small waves on the points, although the Sunshine Coast points are very small. For a bit more size, look on the beach breaks.

Best Beaches: A cool sunny day, with cloud increasing this afternoon and a top temperature is 21-22° is expected. The water temperature is about 21°. Most beaches will be pleasant, but there will be some wind chill factor, so finding a spot against the dunes or in front of high rise buildings, where there’s less wind, would be a good idea. There’s inshore holes and gutters along the open stretches of beach and any rips and sweep working around them, will be enhanced as the water drains off the beach on the early morning and late afternoon ebb tides, so despite the small swell, swim in the patrolled areas marked by the red and yellow flags
