Gold & Sunshine Coast Report issued at 5.50am Tuesday 11th June 2024
Weather Forecast: Sunny, with a top temperature of 22°
Wind Forecast: 5-10kts SW early, becoming S/SW during the morning and swinging N/NE this afternoon
Swell: 0.5m E/SE
Tides: Mooloolaba: Low @ 5.59am & 5.02pm … High @ 11.22am
Snapper Rocks: Low @ 5.42am & 4.53pm … High @ 11.23am
Best waves: Look for small waves on the beach breaks and early this morning and through the afternoon, on the points on the lower parts of the tide, when there’s less water on the banks. Either side of the late morning high tide, they’ll be a bit full. If the wind goes light N/NE this afternoon as forecast, wave quality will deteriorate.
For some surfing history, check the daily videos from the Coastwatch Vault at the bottom of this page
Best Beaches: A sunny day is expected and most beaches will be pleasant. The forecast air temperature is 22° and water temperature is about 21-22°. There’s inshore holes and gutters along the open stretches of beach and any rips and sweep working around them, will be enhanced as the water drains off the beach on the afternoon ebb tide, so swim in the patrolled areas marked by the red and yellow flags
