Gold & Sunshine Coast Report Issued 5.30am 3rd February 2024
Wind:
5-10kt SW winds early, forecast to become 10-15kts SE this morning, tending E/NE this afternoon
Swell:
0.5-1m Easterly and lacking power
Tides:
Low 8am … High 1.30pm
Best waves:
Not much doing this morning. The swell has decreased and is lacking power. Best options would be to look for beach breaks early while the wind is light offshore, or a few mal sliders on the points
Best Beaches: The forecast is for a partly cloudy day, but still use sun protection. Swim only in the patrolled areas marked by the red and yellow flags, particularly early this morning and through the afternoon on the ebb tides, when the water draining off the beach enhances the rips and sweep working around the inshore holes and gutters
