Australian Bass closed season all Queensland tidal waters from 1 June to 31 August.
Hervey Bay
Pearl perch, snapper and jobfish in about 200 to 400 metres, red emperor, tuskfish and snapper on Sandy Cape shoals, snapper wide of Platypus Bay and on the artificial reefs in the central bay, longtail tuna off Rooney Point, mack tuna in Platypus Bay, school mackerel on the inshore reefs, diver whiting off Toogoom and Woodgate, blue salmon, queenfish, mulloway and school mackerel in Sandy Straits, bream, flathead, chopper tailor and tuna off the Urangan jetty, sand crabs off the Burrum coast and north of Coongul. Reports of tailor being caught along the ocean beaches at Fraser Island.
