Rapala Knife Sharpener
Coastwatch Product of the Week, Rapala have brought out a fantastic little knife sharpener – the Rapala RCD Knife Sharpener.
It’s very compact, great to take out in the boat with you or put it in your pocket for land based fishing.
It’s a two-stage knife sharpener, the first section is the coarse for stripping back the shoulders of the knife, and then the fine side. Once you’ve got the edge on the knife, you can keep it sharp with the fine edge there.
It’s a common mistake, but it’s actually blunt knives that cut people, not sharp knives, because you put too much effort in them. So keeping a sharp edge on a knife is essential. It makes it easy for filleting, cutting bait, cutting lines, and everything you need to do for fishing.
