Surf & Beach Report

Weather Forecast: Partly cloudy, with 60% chance of showers on the Gold Coast and an 80% chance on the Sunshine Coast, with a top temperature of 23-24°

Wind Forecast: Light S/SE early, becoming 10-15kts during the morning and reaching 15-20kts along the open stretches of beach

Swell: 1-1.2m Easterly

Tides: Mooloolaba: High @ 9.06am … Low @ 3.04pm

Snapper Rocks: High @ 8.54am … Low @ 2.44pm

Best waves: With moderate to fresh S/SE winds forecast, the fun waves on the points should continue. They’ll be a bit full either side of high tide and better on the lower parts of the tide

Best Beaches: In the forecast moderate to fresh S/SE winds, the bays on the north side of the headlands at Noosa, Burleigh, Kirra, Greenmount and Rainbow Bay will be the most pleasant and safest beaches. There’s inshore holes and gutters, particularly along the open stretches of beach and any rips and sweep working around those features will be enhanced as the water drains off the beach on the mid morning to mid afternoon ebb tide. Swim in the patrolled areas marked by the red and yellow flags
