Surf & Beach Report

“LEST WE FORGET”

Weather Forecast: Partly cloudy, with a top temperature of 26-27°

Wind Forecast:  5-10kts W/SW early, becoming 10-15kts SE during the morning

Swell: 1-1.2m Easterly

Tides: Mooloolaba: High @ 8.33am … Low @ 2.35pm

Snapper Rocks: High @ 8.21am … Low @ 2.15pm

Best waves: Fun waves on the points yesterday and should be again today with the forecast of light to moderate SE winds. Look for beach breaks on the open beaches early while the wind is light W/SW

Best Beaches: In the forecast light to moderate SE winds, the bays on the north side of the headlands at Noosa, Burleigh, Kirra, Greenmount and Rainbow Bay will be the most pleasant and safest beaches. There’s inshore holes and gutters, particularly along the open stretches of beach and with big tidal differences around the full moon, any rips and sweep working around those features will be enhanced as the water drains off the beach on the mid morning to mid afternoon ebb tide. Swim only in the patrolled areas marked by the red and yellow flags
