1-1.5m Easterly with bigger set waves on the open beaches. Smaller in the bays on the north side of headlands

Best waves:
Gold Coast: With fresh SE winds blowing this afternoon, the cleanest waves are on the points and in the bays on the north side of the headlands.
Sunshine Coast: There’s a few small ones at the Bluff at Alex and Moffats. The inner bays at Noosa are still tiny, but if you are in the area, take a walk to the outer bays, it might be a bit bigger
Best Beaches:
On the Gold Coast, it’s a better day for the beach and the forecast is partly cloudy, with a very low chance of showers. On the Sunshine Coast, more cloud and a higher chance of showers are forecast. In SE winds, the best beaches for a swim are Burleigh, Kirra, Greenmount, Mooloolaba and Main Beach Noosa.
Swim only in the patrolled areas marked by the red and yellow flags, particularly this afternoon on the ebb tide as the water drains off the beach it will enhance the rips and sweep working around the inshore holes and gutters
