Gold & Sunshine Coast Forecast Issued at 5.55pm Monday 25th March for Tuesday 26th March 2024

Surf & Beach Report

Weather: Tomorrow’s forecast is cloudy with a 90% chance of showers on the Gold Coast and 95% of rain on the Sunshine Coast. The top temperature should be 24 degrees

Wind: The forecast is light S/SW early, becoming 10-15 kts E/SE during the morning. Showers and rain can affect wind speed and direction

Swell: 1m E/SE on the open beaches. Smaller in the inner bays on the north side of headlands

Tides: Mooloolaba: High @ 8.38am … Low @ 2.48pm … Snapper Rocks: High @ 8.18am … Low @ 2.30pm

Best waves: The past few days rain and showers have meant the winds have been light and variable. It looks the same tomorrow. Best advice would be to look for beach breaks and small point waves and see what the wind does

Best Beaches: Cloudy with showers and rain is the forecast again for tomorrow, not good beach weather. The best and safest beaches for a swim will be the bays on the northern side of the headlands at Noosa, Mooloolaba, Burleigh, Kirra, Greenmount and Rainbow Bay

It’s full moon tonight, which means bigger tides, so on the ebb tide from mid morning to mid afternoon, any rips and sweep working around the inshore holes and gutters will be enhanced as the extra volume of water drains off the beach, particularly on the open stretches of beach. Swim in the patrolled areas marked by the red and yellow flags
