Gold Coast Snapper
From the Coastwatch Vault this story shot in September 1998 shows Gold Coast Charter captains and very experienced anglers, Ross McCubbin and Brad Bobbermein float baiting snapper with light lines and small running sinkers. They caught a couple of small ones the 36’s east of Southport, then went wider and caught a couple of good ones on the 50’s. The highlight of the story is watching two guys who know what they’re doing, working together to catch quality fish with good technique and a minimum of fuss and noise.
