Australian Bass closed season all Queensland tidal waters from 1 June to 31 August.
Hervey Bay
Pearl perch, flame snapper and cod in 100 metres east of Wide Bay Bar, red emperor in 50 metres, spanish mackerel and cobia wide of the bar, longtail tuna off Rooney Point and in Platypus Bay, snapper, sweetlip, coral trout and cod on the deep inshore reefs, broad barred mackerel and yellowtail king around the bay islands, diver whiting off Toogoom, bream and a few flathead off Urangan jetty, threadfin salmon and barramundi in the Mary River, flathead in the creeks, bream along the rocky foreshores, school jew along the deep ledges and sand crabs in the eastern bay.
