Hervey Bay
Snapper in Platypus Bay, golden trevally around the artificial reefs, school mackerel throughout the bay, sand whiting at night along the beaches from Burrum Heads to Urangan, flathead at the creek mouths, longtail tuna at dusk off the Urangan jetty, mangrove jack, grunter bream, flathead and whiting in the Burrum River, barramundi and blue salmon in the Mary River and flathead at River Heads.
Fraser Island
Dart, tailor and a few mulloway along the surf beaches. Travelling on low tide is recommended. A reminder that there is a total fishing ban from midday August 1st until midday September 30th, in an area from 400m south of Indian Head to 400m north of Waddy Point and 400m seawards of those locations.

Tin Can Bay
