A reminder that to allow spawning to take place, barramundi fishing along the east coast of Queensland is banned for three months from 1st November, for both commercial fishermen and recreational anglers. Fishing is still permitted in stocked impoundments that fall under the Stocked Impoundment Permit Scheme (SIPS).
Hervey Bay

Callide Dam
Barramundi on paddletail plastics and swim baits around the weed edges and located with sounder on trolled lures in the open water. Golden perch on vibes and trolled small divers off the points and along the rocky drop offs and red claw crayfish throughout the dam. Alligator gar have been seen in the dam.
