After heavy rain this week there’s a lot of fresh in the river and the best place to fish is near the mouth on the flooding tide where the clean water meets the fresh. Expect to catch a few bream, flathead, whiting, grunter bream and mud crabs.  Keep extra alert if you are boating, there could be debris coming down the river.

The water in the Caboolture River is dirty due to recent heavy rain, so getting a feed of fish could be a bit tough.  The best advice would be to fish and crab around the mouth of the river on the flood tides, in the feeding zone where the dirty water meets the clean seawater.
