There’s no freshwater fishing reports this week, as due to recent rain, most of the stocked impoundments are closed to fishing and the water quality is very poor in those that aren’t. The rivers and creeks are still running fresh and there’s a lot of debris coming downstream, so be extra vigilant if you are boating.
Hervey Bay
Fishing has been quiet due to recent heavy rain, the only reports have been scattered catches of whiting and grunter bream along Hervey Bay foreshores. There is a lot of freshwater run off coming out of the rivers and creeks, so the locals are gearing up for mud crabbing.
