Despite his laid back attitude, “Speccy” has earnt respect and gets it wherever he surfs. He held his own with the best of his time, but turned his back on pro surfing and lives a quiet life on Straddie working as a chippy and surfing when the waves are good … and isn’t that what life should be all about.
