Joy & Athur Rogers – Moreton Island

From the Coastwatch Vault, this story shot in August 1998 is about Joy and Arthur Rogers’ love of Moreton Island and fishing there. Joy and Arthur were founding members of the Moreton Mixed Amateur Fishing Club and when not fishing competitively, spent as much time as possible camping at Moreton Island and walking the beaches and fishing. They are part of Moreton Island fishing history Sadly Arthur passed away in May 2016 and age has taken its toll on Joy and she can no longer fish.
