Flathead Fishing – David, Jacquie & Michael Green

07:00

Dr David Green has a stressful life, having for many years run the emergency section of Southport Hospital. His pressure relief valve is fishing and he’s very good at most species ranging from blue marlin to whiting. He’s excellent at flathead on lures and has been part of the winning team 6 times in the annual Flattie Classic held at Southport. This story from the Coastwatch Vault shot in August 1998, is a nice little yarn about Greenie taking his kids, Jacquie and Michael fishing and teaching them how to do it. The kids are now grown up and Jacquie is a social worker and Michael a doctor working with his dad at emergency at Southport Hospital. They all still love fishing.
