From the Coastwatch Vault this story we did in December 1994 on Bill Ewing’s classic 30 square metre yacht, Typhoon. Bill migrated from Scotland in the 60’s to take up work in a Brisbane shipyard and as a lover of old classic boats and cars, when he saw Typhoon on the market in 1979 he bought her and spent many years refurbishing her back to her original condition.
