Gold & Sunshine Coast Report issued at 5.50am Tuesday 25th June 2024

Surf & Beach Report

Weather Forecast: Partly cloudy with a medium chance of showers and a top temperature of 22-23°

Wind Forecast: 5-10kts W/SW early, becoming E/NE during the morning

Swell: 0.5m SE/E

Tides: Mooloolaba: Low @ 4.48am & 4.05pm … High @ 10.17am

Snapper Rocks: Low @ 4.43am & 3.57pm … High @ 10.18am

Best waves: The run of small swell continues and the best options for surfers will be small waves on the points early this morning on lower part of the tide and while the winds are W/SW, or on the beach breaks. If the wind goes light E/NE as predicted, wave quality will deteriorate a bit.

For some surfing history, check the daily videos from the Coastwatch Vault at the bottom of this page

Best Beaches: With a partly cloudy day with a medium chance of showers forecast, it’s not looking great for the beach. The water temperature is 18-19° and although the swell is small, swim in the patrolled areas marked by the red and yellow flags, as there’s inshore holes and gutters along the open stretches of beach and any rips and sweep working around them, will be enhanced as the water drains off the beach on the late morning and afternoon ebb tide
