Best waves:
Fresh SE winds are forecast again today and the points and bays on the north side of headlands will have the cleanest conditions. There’s a big high tide soon and most breaks are full and should improve as the tide falls off during the morning and there’s less water on the banks
Best Beaches:
The bays on the northern side of the headlands at Noosa, Mooloolaba, Burleigh, Kirra, Greenmount and Rainbow Bay offer the best shelter from the forecast SE wind
It’s new moon on Sunday night, which big tides and on the ebb tide from this morning to early afternoon, the increased volume of water draining off the beach will enhance any rips and sweep working in and around the inshore holes and gutters. Use sun protection and swim only in the patrolled areas marked by the red and yellow flags.
