From the Coastwatch Vault, this story was produced by Sky Kinninmont as part of the part of the 1999 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show Coastwatch Special. It’s about Queensland State of Origin legend Dick “Tossa” Turner’s 30ft sailing cat, Queenslander. One of the most popular stories produced for Coastwatch, it features “Tossa” sailing his cat with a crew of State of Origin greats, Wally Lewis, Trevor Gillmeister, Bob Lindner, Mark Hohn and Greg Oliphant. Tossa passed away in June 2008, but his Queensland State of Origin legacy lives on and he will never be forgotten.
