Hervey Bay

Sweetlip, coral trout, cod and blackall on the shallow reefs, school mackerel and longtail tuna around the channel markers, snapper and longtail tuna in Platypus Bay, grunter bream, trevally, queenfish, barramundi and mangrove jack in Sandy Straits, school mackerel on the tide changes off the Urangan jetty, barramundi, mangrove jack and sand whiting in the Burrum River, barramundi and mangrove jack in the Mary and Susan Rivers and sand whiting in Beelbi Creek.

Rainbow Beach Offshore

Pearl perch, snapper, tuskfish, hussar, cod and cobia about 5 to 8nm SE of Wide Bay Bar.

Tin Can Bay

School mackerel at Inskip Point, sand whiting on the making tide on the flats in Tin Can Bay, trevally and mangrove jack in the creeks and barramundi around the pylons at Bullock Point.

Noosa

Bream throughout the Noosa River, sand whiting in the lower reaches and flathead along the Tewantin reach.

Trevally along the current line in the lower reaches of the Noosa River, bream and flathead in Woods Bay and flathead and whiting in Weyba Creek.

Pearl perch, snapper and sweetlip at Sunshine and North Reefs and mulloway off Double Island Point.

Snapper, pearl perch, tuskfish and amberjack on North Reef.

Maroochydore

Sand whiting in the lower reaches of the Maroochy River, trevally, estuary cod, bream and flathead around the Motorway Bridge pylons and flathead, bream and chopper tailor along the Bli Bli reach.

Mooloolaba

Snapper and cobia on the Mooloolaba inshores, pearl perch and snapper at Caloundra wide, dart and whiting along the beaches, flathead and bream along the rock walls at the Mooloolah River mouth and trevally and mangrove jack in the canals.

Snapper, pearl perch and amberjack at the Hards, yellowtail king at Caloundra wide and snapper on the close Caloundra reefs.

Caloundra

Spotty and school mackerel at Caloundra 5 and 7 Mile, dart, bream and whiting along the beaches, flathead and whiting in Pumicestone Passage, mangrove jack in the lakes and canals and mud crabs in the creeks.

Donnybrook

Flathead along the drop offs, sand whiting at the mouth of the creeks, grunter bream at Mission Point and 112 and mangrove jack in the creeks.

Bribie Island

Sand whiting along the beaches from Woorim to Red Beach, flathead around Sandstone Point, grunter bream at Banksia Beach, snapper along the ledge at White Patch, flathead and whiting at Lime Pocket and Mission Point and sand crabs in Deception Bay.

Northern Moreton Bay

Snapper on live bait at Hutchison Shoal, mack tuna in the northern bay, diver whiting on the Cockle Banks, off Scarborough and Nudgee Beach, flathead at the mouth of the Caboolture River, sand whiting on the making tide in Hays Inlet, sand crabs off the southern end of Bribie Island and mud crabs in the upper reaches of the creeks.

Redcliffe Peninsula

Snapper, bream, sweetlip, tailor, school jew and mackerel around the inshores and rocky points, bream, whiting, flathead and school jew in Hays Inlet, the Pine River, Deception and Bramble Bays, mangrove jack in the Pine River and Newport canals, sand crabs off Scarborough and mud crabs in the rivers and creeks.

Moreton Bay Offshore

Conditions have been unfavourable for offshore fishing; will fish again once the seas settle.

Brisbane River – Northern Moreton Bay

Snapper and sweetlip on the eastern side of Green and Mud Islands, school mackerel from the Hope Banks to the Rous Channel, sand crabs off Fisherman Islands and mud crabs in the creeks.

Wynnum Manly

Snapper and sweetlip around Green Island, diver whiting on the Amity Banks, in the Blue and Maroon Holes, school mackerel off Wellington Point, the Hope Banks and Green Island and flathead, snapper and mulloway in the lower reaches of the Brisbane River.

Nth Stradbroke Island

Fish all beaches for dart, whiting, bream and tailor.

Redland Bay

Sweetlip around Green, Mud and Peel Islands, snapper off the northern end of Macleay Island, school mackerel in the Rous Channel, flathead around the banks in the southern bay and bream in Raby Bay canals.

Snapper and tailor around Peel and Goat Islands, flathead in Canaipa Passage and at the Logan River mouth and sand crabs near Peel Island, on the Pelican and Banana Banks.

Jumpinpin

Sand whiting around Never Fail Islands and the Pig Sties, flathead along Kalinga Bank, Pandanus and Tipplers Islands and bream at the Five Ways, the deep hole off Crusoe Island and near the rocks in Cobby Passage.

Flathead in the channels that lead to the Pin Bar, bream around Jacobs Well jetty and mulloway inside the Pin Bar.

Southport

Tailor and mulloway in Southport Seaway, tailor at the Sand Pumping Jetty, flathead throughout Southport Broadwater, sand whiting along the Bundall reach of the Nerang River and mangrove jack around the bridges in the Coomera River.

A lot of flathead caught in the Flathead Classic yesterday and today; they are spread throughout the Broadwater and around Jumpinpin and there have been sand whiting inside the Pin Bar and near the Council Chambers in the Nerang River.

Currumbin

Flathead in the lower reaches of Currumbin and Tallebudgera Creeks, trevally around the bridge pylons and muddies in the upper reaches.

Tweed Coast

Flathead, bream, whiting, trevally and flounder in the mid to lower reaches of the Tweed River.

Snapper and moses perch on the 24s east of the Tweed.

Pottsville

Flathead, whiting and a few tailor along the beaches, bream, flathead, whiting, mangrove jack and mud crabs in the upper reaches of the creeks and luderick around the rock walls in the lower reaches.

Evans Head

Snapper, pearl perch and trag jew on Kahors Reef, bream, flathead, tailor and a few whiting along Airforce Beach, mulloway and luderick along the rock walls at the Evans River mouth, bream, flathead and trevally in the lower reaches and a few mud crabs in the upper reaches.

FRESHWATER FISHING

Boondooma Dam

Bass and golden perch on spinner baits and jackalls cast to the banks in the main basin and middle reaches and a few golden perch on ice jigs around the Junction.

Lake Monduran

Barramundi during the day on jerk baits around the points and in the windblown bays; better quality fish on soft plastics at dawn and dusk.

Lake Kurwongbah

Bass and saratoga at dawn and dusk on surface lures around the dam edges and bass during the day on trolled hard bodies in the deeper parts.

Lake Samsonvale

Saratoga at dawn and dusk on surface lures around the dam edges.  The bass have been quiet.

Wivenhoe Dam

Bass located with sounder on spoons and heavy soft plastics in about 7 metres of water in front of Logans Inlet.

Moogerah Dam

Bass on soft plastics, blades and crank baits trolled to 7 metres close to the timber.

Maroon Dam

Bass early morning on cicada and frog imitation baits close to the timber in the upper reaches and during the day on soft plastics around the weed beds.
