Hervey Bay

School mackerel and queenfish on the inshore reefs, coral trout, grassy sweetlip, cod, moses perch and grunter bream at Gatakers Bay, school mackerel and queenfish during the day and tarpon at night off the Urangan jetty, sand whiting and flathead on the making tide along the beaches from Burrum Heads to Urangan, threadfin salmon and grunter bream in the Mary River and mud crabs in the rivers and creeks.

Moogerah Dam

Bass and golden perch on jerk baits and jackall TN60s around the weed edges and bass on medium to deep crank baits close to the timber.

Maroon Dam

Bass and golden perch on chatter baits and soft plastics in the deep water close to the timber, bass on cicada and frog surface lures around the dam edges and plenty of tilapia on worms throughout the dam. Remember tilapia are a noxious pest fish and should be disposed of in the bins provided.

Rivers
