NO FURTHER FLOODING IS EXPECTED IN THE MOONIE RIVER

Rainfall totals of up to 10mm are expected over the weekend, but this will not cause renewed river rises.
The river level at Nindigully peaked above the minor flood level during Thursday, and is now at the minor flood level (2.20 metres), and continuing to fall. River levels in the Moonie River at Thallon Bridge were below the minor flood level and rising on Thursday. River level rises will continue during Friday, but the Moonie River at Thallon Bridge is not expected to exceed the minor flood level (4.0 metres).

FLOODING IS EXPECTED TO EASE AT RETREAT LATER ON FRIDAY

No significant rainfall is forecast for the coming week.
The Barcoo River at Retreat is currently at 2.26 metres and falling with minor flooding. The Barcoo River at Retreat will fall below the minor flood level (2.10 m) Friday afternoon. The Cooper Creek at Windorah (Main Channel) has peaked below the minor flood level (3.0 metres) early Friday morning.
