Hervey Bay

Recent flooding has put a lot of dirty fresh water and debris into Hervey Bay. Fish the wider reefs with the cleaner water for grassy sweetlip, coral trout, cod and blackall. Avoid the rivers and creeks until the flood water stops running and set mud crab pots around foreshores adjacent to creek mouths. You could try for grunter bream around Point Vernon.
